Dr. Karla Frazier, Practice Owner

Dr. Frazier received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. She is a graduate of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She began her veterinary career in the Winston Salem area in 1994; opening Hillsdale Animal Hospital in 2000.

Dr. Frazier shares her home with some very special dogs and cats. Dr. Frazier has a huge heart and cares deeply for all of her patients and clients. Her caring heart carries over to her extracurricular activities as well, which include volunteering with church committees and regularly helping with her church’s soup trailer program to feed the homeless. Dr. Frazier has a competitive spirit and loves to spend time “busting out some laps!” She swims to stay fit and is always trying to improve her speed!

Dr. Violet Kirk, Practice Owner

Dr. Violet Kirk, Practice Owner

Dr. Kirk was born and raised in rural central Illinois. She majored in biology and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University. Following her undergraduate education, she attended the University of Illinois and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Kirk enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. As a family, they love to see live music, play outside, and relax with their four-legged friends. Dr. Kirk is proud to be a part of such a wonderful veterinary team and is so thankful to be living her dream.

Dr. Abby Mulchi

Dr. Abby Mulchi

Dr. Abby Mulchi is the newest member of our veterinarian staff. She has been with us since 2016. She received both her undergraduate degree and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University. After veterinary school, she completed a small animal surgery and internal medicine rotating internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialist. She has extensive experience in both general practice and emergency medicine.

Her professional interest includes, but are not limited to senior pet comfort, soft tissue surgery, emergency supportive care, and oncology. Interests outside of work include Zumba, cooking, reading, and hiking with her husband, Matt, and Boxer mix, Petey.
